Approximate equivalents from Citadel's range changes — reformulations mean colours are close, not identical. Confirm against a swatch.

Why did Citadel rename all its paints?

In 2012 Games Workshop overhauled the Citadel range, renaming almost every paint and reorganising them into Base, Layer, Shade and other types. The old names (Chaos Black, Bleached Bone, the famous Badab Black and Devlan Mud washes) still appear in older guides, codexes and tutorials — this chart bridges them to what's on the shelf today.

Once you've found the current paint, use the paint converter to get its closest match in Vallejo, The Army Painter or Pro Acryl.
